About fanlistings
According to thefanlistings.org, a fanlisting is an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are); they are just a place where you can sign up with other fans.
About PHPAskIt
PHPAskIt, or PAI, is a question and answer script written by myself, Amelie. It was first written in June 2005 following a lack of availability of question and answer scripts - the most common ones, Ask&Answer, Faqtastic and Wak's Ask&Answer were no longer around and/or were found to be insecure and not really what I was looking for.
PHPAskIt features all the things that are missing from those old scripts - categories, permalinks to questions, easy to use admin panel, spam protection, valid markup, security and more.
The script was released by CodeGrrl in August 2005 but from version 3, it parted company with CG and is now only available from its new home at Not-Noticeably.net.
PHPAskIt's current stable release is version 3.0.
About this site
This site is run by PHPAskIt's creator, Amelie.
Why, you may ask, does Amelie run the fanlisting for her own script?
The answer to that is because I am very proud of PAI and I like to think of it as my baby. It was the first full script I had ever written and it is what taught me most of what I know about PHP today. For that reason, I wanted to gather together the people who are thankful for it :)
The layout used for this fanlisting is that of PHPAskIt 3.0.
