According to thefanlistings.org, a fanlisting is an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are); they are just a place where you can sign up with other fans.
BellaBook is a small but perfectly formed guestbook script, written in PHP by Jem of Jemjabella.co.uk. It runs on flat files, so there's no need for any MySQL databases or anything like that. It's simple to set up and use - just CHMOD four text files and you're away! It's also great at combatting spam. Of all the guestbook scripts I (Amelie) have used, this is the only one to have successfully stopped 100% of the spam I receive. It also helps that Jem is always willing to develop tutorials and add-ons for the script, so keep a look out for updates at her tutorial site for extra spam protection, layout integration tutorials and more.
